Curriculum & Academics

Our School curriculum is aligned to CBSE [Central Board of Secondary Education] and incorporates all the necessary modification which is required by the UAE Education Parameters, also encourages to adopt best practices in integrating National Identity into school curriculum and school culture which is an initiative by ADEK. The curriculum provide amble scope for physical, intellectual and social development of a child. It combines innovation and pedagogy knowledge and application with technological innovation to keep pace with the fast developing global trends. We stress on pedagogy which is more experiential holistic integrated, inquiry driven, discovery oriented, learner centred, flexible and enjoyable. The school Curriculum is designed to ensure the overall development of the students and to empower them with 21st Century skills which are aligned with National Agenda Parameters. The curriculum strives to provide opportunities for students to achieve excellence in learning as envisioned in the National Education Policy 2020. It emphasizes co-scholastic areas of art education, health and physical education. School has well established process and procedure to ensure the suitability and appropriateness of the learning resources in align with UAE Cultural Consideration Policy. We promote inclusive education by providing opportunities to all students. Equal emphasis is given to personality development and academic excellence.

Kindergarten

The two foundational stages (KG1 & KG 2) revolve mainly around 3 curricular areas - Literacy, Numeracy and Understanding Our World. These areas are rightly complemented and supplemented by well-designed activities for personal and social development, health and physical development and the development of the artistic and creative skills of the students.

The teaching and learning approach are a right blend of inquiry, experiential learning and play, with a clear focus on developing healthy attitudes, values for life, and the learning skills among our tiny tots right from the beginning. The kindergarten, or the foundation stage 1 and 2 curriculum is based on age specific learning objectives and has been developed infusing the fundamentals of formal learning with the latest innovative learning tools. Our methodology offers unique and unprecedented growth and development opportunities for the little learners.

Primary & Middle

The curriculum is wide-ranged with a good balance between the key-subjects such as the languages, Math and Science and the co-scholastic-disciplines such as Computer Science, Physical Education (PE), Art, Music, etc. Along with these subjects, the subjects of UAE-SST, Moral Education, Arabic & Islamic-Studies form an integral part of the curriculum as per the directives of the Ministry of Education (MOE). Hindi and Urdu are offered as curricular choices for the second language option from Grade 6. In line with the competency-based educational initiatives from the CBSE, National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the International Benchmarks, the school’s curriculum expectations directly align with the age-appropriate skills and core competencies identified as per global standards. Skill subjects are offered to various grades as follows: Coding [Grade 6], Coding, Data Science & Artificial Intelligence [Grade 7&8].

Secondary

The curriculum scope and expectations in the secondary phase are in strict adherence to the guidelines and specifications from the CBSE. Hindi and Urdu continue to be options for the second language. The ministry subjects of Arabic and UAE Social Studies (SST) are a part of the curriculum till Grade 9. Moral Education and Islamic Studies are continued till Grade 12.
